R30.2 Di Blasi Folding Mobility Scooter
The DI BLASI mod.R30.2 mobility scooter folds automatically at the touch of a button. When folded , it is the size of a suitcase and can therefore be easily transported in the trunk of cars, campers, carried as baggage on the plane, carried in the elevator, stored in a corner of the house. It can be dragged on its service wheels, like a trolley.
By pressing another button, it automatically unfolds to become a convenient means of transport, ready for use without the need for further operations and easy to drive: just operate the accelerator to regulate the speed. It brakes automatically when you release the accelerator. It has a range of 30 km .
These features make the R30 scooter the ideal vehicle for use away from home and when travelling by the elderly or those with mobility problems. The battery complies with IATA UN 38.3 regulation and therefore the scooter can be transported as baggage on passenger aircraft.
A specially designed automatic lift allows you to load your scooter simply and effortlessly into the trunk of a wide range of cars.

Maneuverability
Thanks to its three-wheel configuration, the R30 scooter has excellent maneuverability and a turning radius of just 71 cm. It can therefore be used in tight spaces.
The wheel diameter of 29 cm and the ground clearance of 12 cm allow you to travel even on dirt or very rough roads.
The wheels are fitted with pneumatic tires that improve ride comfort and protect the structure of the scooter.
Transport by passenger aircraft
The battery complies with IATA regulation UN 38.3. Therefore the R30 scooter can be transported as baggage on passenger aircraft.
Drums
The battery can be removed in a second and can be recharged either on board the scooter or separately. The battery is of the lithium-iron type (LiFePO4). This battery is considered the safest of all batteries. Its life, i.e. the number of charge and discharge cycles it can be subjected to, is over 2,000 cycles compared to the 500 cycles of lithium-ion batteries usually used in mobility scooters. Furthermore, during discharge, the voltage remains almost constant so that performance also remains almost constant during use.
Brakes
The scooter is equipped with a brake that is activated automatically when the accelerator is released. It is a mechanical brake that, unlike the electric brakes mounted on other scooters, does not absorb energy while driving, which contributes to the high autonomy of the scooter.
The scooter is also equipped with an emergency brake that can be operated manually using a lever on the handlebars, like on bicycles.
Autonomy
The scooter has a long range (about 30 km) obtained thanks to the high battery capacity (11 Ah), the large diameter tires, the brushless motor, but above all to the fact that the automatic mechanical brake does not absorb energy while driving and therefore allows an energy saving of about 40% compared to scooters equipped with electromagnetic brakes.
Accessories
The available accessories are the following:
- Lift (Cod.3600): can be easily installed in the trunk of almost all cars, without the need to tamper with the trunk ( )
- Handlebar basket (Cod.3120)
- Storage bag (Cod.3030)
- Rear-view mirror (Cod.3470)
- Stick holder (Cod.4050)
- Footrest extension (Cod.3300): allows the driver to extend his legs almost completely. It folds automatically when the scooter is folded
Customizations
On request, the scooter can be supplied with the following customisations:
- Handlebar position set back 10 cm from the standard position
- Accelerator placed on the left side instead of the right side of the handlebar (Cod.1103)
- Additional ball-bearing service wheels (Cod. 3370), which allow the folded scooter to be moved even in very tight spaces such as the cabin of a cruise ship, the trunk of a camper, etc.
Ideal for tour operators. The R30 scooter can also be used by tour operators to improve their services, because being easily transportable on tourist buses and cruise ships, it can be offered for use by elderly people or those with minor mobility problems in order to allow them to move comfortably and independently even in the places where the bus or ship arrives.
Technical assistance
The R30 scooter is manufactured in Italy by a company that has been producing folding vehicles (bicycles, tricycles, mopeds, scooters) for 50 years, always innovative in their conception (see the company's history). This fact is a guarantee of technical assistance always available over the years.
Warranty: 1 year on the Frames and Components, 6 months on the Battery
Some curiosities
The first folding scooter (DIBLA 7) was made in 1968 by the founder of our company, Rosario Di Blasi. It was foldable only manually and was powered by a 2-stroke engine.
It did not enter series production because the time was not yet ripe.
